"Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find reserves of strength that last as long as life endures." Rachel Carson

Margaret did these paintings during two glorious weeks in July 2004 while traveling in Alaska. One week was spent traveling from Fairbanks to Anchorage by bus and train. The second week was spent on a small cruise ship. The paintings were done on trains and the boat while the landscape was sliding by. These small paintings were all done on acid free watercolor paper in a spiral sketchbook with a small watercolor kit.
