Margaret paints the monuments in the studio, working from photographs that she takes, scans and enlarges so that she can see the details. She often uses many photographs for one painting. Each painting takes from 4-6 weeks to complete. Many of the images are from Washington, DC which has such beautiful monuments, the rest are from travels from across the globe.
