Margaret has been painting this beloved Sycamore tree since 1985 when she moved into the neighborhood where it has been living for 250 years. It is so old that the bark is pure white. It reflects light so magnificently! She never knows when she will get to the end of this series; just when she think she is finished, she sees it in a new light and runs home to get her camera to capture it. Sycamore, Setting Sun is the 36th painting in this series. Margaret works from 8" x 10" prints that she makes by scanning the slide into her computer. The painting is all done in her studio. Each painting takes from 3 to 6 weeks depending on the size. Small prints are available on some of the images as shown.

The Unbound book is also available. It is a beautiful folio filled with 10 archival signed prints of some of the Sycamore trees as well as the story of the Sycamore Series and Margaret's Biography. The book can be displayed as a coffee table book or the prints can be matted and framed for hanging. Shipping is available.
